I am an Associate Professor in Politics and Development at the University of Birmingham in the International Development Department, School of Government. I am also a research associate with the Developmental Leadership Program (DLP). I have a PhD in Political Science from University College London (UCL). My research broadly looks at the politics of international development, focusing in particular on the relationship between development and human rights; the health dimensions of climate change; and the measurement and determinants of foreign policy.
